CCAD Fashion Show: 25/05/12

CCAD Fashion Show 2012.

It feels like the most amazing feeling to be nearly finished three years at uni, although I will be sad to leave!
The fashion show was a great success and I throughly enjoyed the whole thing. I guess it made me think I would kind of like to do it as a job, helping with fashion events etc. But who knows!
Next stop Graduate Fashion Week!

Final Major Project: Cosmic Future.

So it's all coming to an end, three years at university so now what!
Below are just a few photos from my photo shoot.
All credit to the photographer who did an amazing job making my garments look perfect.

I am so so pleased with the photo shoot, unfortunately I didn't have all six of my outfits ready in time for the shoot.
All in all I am extremely happy with the way it's all turned out.
(I will be sure to update how Graduate Fashion Week turns out)

So after finishing my final major project last monday, I felt it was time for a little retail therapy!
After a lot of me going on and pretty much bugging my poor fiancĂ© he said he'd take me shopping.

For a few weeks (perhaps months) I'd been making little lists of all the things I 'wish' I could buy, so I guess I kind of knew what I was going for!
I didn't get too much as next month I'm off to London for Graduate Fashion Week, so I'm expecting my card will be quivering at the thought oops!

1. Just the little bag! 2. Cute little silver peace sign necklace: £7. 3. 'PEACE' waist belt in leopard: £18.

Josh (my better half!) pushed me into Urban Outfitters after we had been walking past it for ages, he knows me too well haha.
But god am I glad he did! I'd been looking at the "PEACE" belt for ages when it was on the website in black, but when I saw it in leopard on the model I knew I had to have it.
I think it'll be perfect for Spring/Summer but also will be one of those things that can be worn all year through.
Whilst waiting in the queue I noticed a range of 'peace' sign bracelets and earrings, this led me to remember that the 'peace' sign necklace I liked was also in Urban Outfitters. Guess what I found it!
So even though I lost my place in the queue it was worth it.
The necklace was £12 reduced to £7, I'm not sure if I'd have spent £12 on it but I'm pleased with my bargain.

1. Tom Ford - Black Orchid 30ml: £45.

After seeing this perfume advertised in a variety of magazines I felt obliged to smell it!
A week or so before I had gone on a hunt for this perfume in my home town, but it was no where to be found and everyone said it was an exclusive perfume.
After finding this perfume, smelling and falling in love with it, I would say to anyone if you're even slightly interested in this product then go smell it!
The price I guess is slightly off putting but honestly a little goes a long way with this scent. Now I'm no good with describing perfumes, but on the website this is the description;
"The attention is captured by a sensuous blend of Black Truffle and Ylang mingled with fresh Bergamot and delectable Black Currant.
A dramatic signature unfolds with the custom-made Tom Ford Black Orchid blended with dark, tempting florals and rich fruit accords.
The heart is deepened with the intoxicating Lotus Wood.
The decadent Noir Gourmand Accord is balanced by Patchouli-incense and Vetiver.
Vanilla tears add a fluid creaminess to warm Balsam and smooth Sandalwood".
I'm not one for sickly sweet smells, so for me I'm glad I can't really smell the vanilla.
At first it smells more like a men's aftershave but once you get past that the smell burns off to a wonderful heavy and long wearing scent.
Just honestly go smell it, you won't regret it!

1. Sleek Brow Kit: Light: £7.99.

Now I know I'm a little late on the band wagon with this product but every time I went to buy it something always made me put it back.
Not this time though!
Again Josh gave me the 'If you want it, get it' talk, by this time I think he was sick as a chip bless him.
I'm yet to actually use the product so when I do I'll give you my verdict.
As for the little brushes/tweezers I'm not sure I'll use those day to day, but for travel purposes I can't grumble.

So that's it my little bit of retail therapy, I'm now ready for a busy week of portfolio making and fashion show preparing!
Wish me luck! ox
